Reilly Brennan lives in San Francisco but will always be a Detroiter at heart. He is the Executive Director of the Revs Automotive Research Program at Stanford and teaches a class on heroes and Dale Earnhardt at the Stanford d.school. He created a car photo thingy called Carmagnum.

  1. Was the Automobile the First Open Source Platform?

    Last week I spoke in Michael Shanks’ class at Stanford and presented some new findings about the connections between automobiles and computer technologies. Was the automobile the first open source platform? In many ways, I believe the answer is yes. The presentation is below with audio (hit the center play button and it will run like a video).
